I went to Five Below today. Five Below originally only had items below $5.00. That is no longer the case – many things are now $10.00. They have an array of creative candy.
Banana is a North Carolina-inspired flavor. Pocky is Japanese. These are a Japanese-Carolina treat!
It’s not beer, but it tastes like beer. Near beer?
Jelly burger. Less healthy than a real burger.
Gummy hot dog. Is it vegetarian? Nope, gummy isn’t vegetarian if there’s gelatin in it. Google’s definition of gummy is, “gelatin is a protein obtained by boiling skin, tendons, ligaments, and/or bones with water . It is usually obtained from cows or pigs.” When you eat candy, you are eating bones. Meta, man.
This one is tempting. I’ve had sushi cupcakes before, and they were great. But who knows if gummy sushi will be good?
I want to eat this candy with chopsticks!
Unicorns!
And for the winner – macaroni & cheese candy. I don’t think it tastes like cheese, but who knows?!
I bought these because they were only $1.50; no other reason.
