2023 was my fourth year of hunting down “birthday freebies,” and I’m learning that birthday freebies aren’t always free. They can be costly. On September 1st, I started getting lots of emails promoting birthday gifts. Several wanted me to download an app, which I didn’t want to do.
Sephora gave me free shipping along with the birthday gift. Additionally, I got free samples. Total spent: $26.81.
A few years back, I went through some acrobatics to get free GNC on my birthday. It’s not worth the effort.
This is this year’s Ulta free gift. I walked into an Ulta to pick it up. If I don’t like it, I’ll use it on my feet, like Jennifer Aniston, in the movie “Friends with Money.” I love that movie.
I am obsessed with Great Harvest bread! Sadly, I don’t know of a participating location. I went to the Raleigh store a few years back, and they couldn’t take this coupon.
Free coffee from Biggby! This place is the best. They are a little inconveniently located, so I don’t get there as often as I’d like.
Starbucks only allows you to get your free coffee on your actual birthday. Often, I can’t get there on my birthday. I was happy to make it there yesterday.
Free birthday Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. This was my first PSL ever. My assessment: brushing my teeth after drinking it took a long time.
I received this coupon from Culver’s. I’ll have to get here by 9/30! In my opinion, Culver’s is highly and delightedly elevated fast food.
Sheetz awarded me $0.05 off per gallon of gas (wow), and a free soda.
AARP sent me 1,500 points. I will use these points to compete in drawings against millions of senior citizens.
That’s it for 2023. Maybe I’ll do better next year!
