My partner and I have been watching this show called Trinkets on Netflix. An episode in Season II had an excellent product placement for McDelivery, so I decided to attempt it for myself! My goal was to replicate the food in this image.
I went to the McDonald’s website, where I learned that I had two options for McDelivery: Uber Eats, and Door Dash. I had a coupon for Door Dash, so I decided to try that. I’d never utilized a food delivery service, before.
I immediately learned that food ordered through a delivery service can be way more expensive than the actual menu, but you can find coupon codes to make it cheaper.
I ordered two 10-piece nuggets, a large fries, and 2 large shakes – one strawberry, and one chocolate. I ordered the food for an 11:30 a.m. delivery. At 11:10 a.m., I received a call from the driver, “they are out of strawberry shakes.” I thought about cancelling the order, but then I said, “we’ll take two chocolate shakes.”
Then I got another call from the driver at 11:15 a.m., “I misunderstood, they are actually out of shakes.” After a bit of confusion, she said that they would replace the shake with a frappe. I reminded her, “extra whipped cream!”
The order arrived as expected at 11:30 a.m.
It came in a fancy bag.
Somehow, we ended up with one vanilla milkshake and one caramel frappe. Neither had whipped cream. The shake wasn’t nearly as pretty as the one in the TV show. I said, “McDonald’s, I’m liking it, but but I’m not loving it.”
The nuggets were good, but the fries were already kind of cold!
The frappe and milkshake were a little messy, but at least they were still cold.
Here’s a silly McDonald’s selfie!
That’s enough McDonald’s for now! I have many blog posts to come, including:
- My amazing skincare regime!
- My experience of participating in a Pfizer Covid vaccine trial study!
- And finally, this year’s free birthday gifts from corporations! Note: last year’s post. Spoiler Alert: this year’s haul won’t be nearly as spectacular as last year’s!
