Dollar Tree Dining #25

I was perusing the sunglasses section at Dollar Tree, and I gave in and bought some crappy Aviator sunglasses. After walking outside, I realized how crappy they were — the world became a strange color, they had pokey nose pads, and there was a purple dot in front of my left eye… oh, my. Immediately, they went in the trash.

I also bought some weird food items. I don’t think my brain was fully screwed on. Luckily, my entire “binge shopping” experience only cost me $4.13.

I thought these would be good, but they are mushy, slimy pepper strips with no skin. They are not a good afternoon office snack, but maybe they are decent on a salad, in small amounts.

This blue cheese dressing was not an extraordinary find, but there’s nothing worse than being caught without dressing when you want salad or a chip dip.

I got the mini Jamaican spicy beef patties because I’d never seen them before. They are a light, microwavable snack.

They are low-calorie and filling. I didn’t notice the 1,130 mg of sodium until after I ate them.

The ingredients list is long! I didn’t realize at first that the “crust ingredients” section was still part of the ingredients. “You’re still talking?!” I won’t buy these again. I don’t need dimethylpolysiloxane (an anti-foaming agent) in my diet — last I checked, I didn’t have rabies…
