Chicken Salad Dining #2 – Alpaca

Alpaca is a Peruvian chicken restaurant. There is Spanish music in the background, and it’s not a traditional fast food restaurant. However, they do serve food fast, and they have a chicken salad on the menu for $12.00, so I included it.

I did not order a chicken salad. However, what I ordered had all the ingredients of a salad, especially since I got a side salad as one of my side items.

I got a quarter white chicken breast & wing. It comes with two sides, and I got the green beans and a side salad. I could have easily mixed up these ingredients to make a salad if I wanted to.

Alpaca has Ranch, Italian, and cilantro vinaigrette dressing for the salad. But if you’re there, you’ll likely use their in-house unlimited yellow and green sauces. I don’t know exactly what these sauces are, but I can say that the green sauce is spicier, and the yellow sauce is creamier.

Alpaca is a healthy choice, and it’s not too pricey. This was $10.75 for the 1/4 white chicken + an upcharge of $0.50 because green beans are considered a “premium” side.

The food was ok. It tasted natural and high-quality, if not a little bland. I felt full quickly from the green beans, so I don’t know what the sauce was on them, but I’m guessing it was a bit heavy on the oil. I would go back! They have some interesting side items like yuca fries and fried plantains. I would like to try those next time.
