Meal Delivery Services – EveryPlate

Try EveryPlate! It’s a low-cost meal delivery service. EveryPlate is much more inexpensive than other ones I’ve tried, and the food quality is decent. It’s the only one I’ll stick with after the introductory period, mainly because it’s so inexpensive. Other ones I’ve tried include Hello Fresh and Marley Spoon. EveryPlate is more “comfort-food” based, and the portions seem a little smaller than the other meal plans (which is not a bad thing). There are fewer options, and they are less health-friendly than other meal plans. However, it’s simpler to cook – I cooked everything in about a half-hour, and the instructions were easy to follow. Marley Spoon would take up to an hour, and I would sometimes get impatient. However, Marley Spoon had more “gourmet” options.

The packaging with EveryPlate seemed more straightforward and more environmentally friendly than with other meal plans. There was less unpacking – I could easily store the interior container in the fridge until it was time to cook.

With EveryPlate, the meals might be simpler, but it’s a way to re-learn how to make staple foods inexpensively.

Chicken tacos. Yum! These came out the prettiest. However, I accidentally used the long pepper from the stir fry instead of the jalapenos.
The stir fry came out good. The strange thing was the lack of vegetables. I added a carrot just so there was something! Also, I accidentally mixed up my green pepper from the stir-fry with the jalapeno from the chicken tacos. It wasn’t spicy enough, so we added extra sriracha and soy sauce to taste.
This is a terrible photo, but it tasted pretty good.
I made this with extra peanut butter instead of eggs, so it was vegan.
My partner was out, so I put his portion in the fridge. This is what it looked like.
To my knowledge, I’ve never cooked a pork chop, so this was an experience. I wasn’t very successful with the panko (it didn’t stick great to the pork chop), but it was good. I forgot to take a photo of the finished product.
