Splitting Hairs

I don’t want to get a haircut. I stopped getting haircuts during the pandemic, and now my usually shoulder-length hair is about three inches longer than normal. I love having an excuse not to cut it!

My hair seems pretty healthy. I don’t think I even have split ends. However, I haven’t gone to the eye doctor for awhile, and it’s possible I cannot actually see my split ends. I’m also 4 months late for my physical, and dentist. Who needs sharp teeth when I’m not going to the grocery store to buy fresh vegetables? I had stockpiled so many cans of vegetables and I’ve got to gum them down at some point.

Seriously though, I love my long hair. Why cut it, now?

I’m working from home, currently. These days, dressing up is wearing a new tank top and shorts for a Zoom call. If my hair looks too long or too terrible, then I pull it back into a ponytail.

I usually get my hair cut about once every 8 weeks, but when I was younger, it was more like every 4-6 months. I don’t actually enjoy getting haircuts. And right now, nobody cares. And even a well-coiffed hairstyle looks messy with a face mask. Why try to fashion, now?!

In case you’ve missed Dollar Tree Dining, here’s an exclusive sneak peek!

This was yummy, and it only has 270 calories. It was quick to make, and it fueled me for a 6-mile hike in the 90 degree heat through rough terrain. You should try it! Just don’t look too closely at the ingredients list! For me, the ingredients list was a blur. I should go see that eye doctor…
