Skin Care: a Snapshot in Time!

When I was 26, my mom introduced me to the 3-step Clinique skincare routine. Even then, I understood the importance of skincare. In this post, I’m going to share some of the products in my skin care cabinet right now. My goal is to have so many skincare products that I never feel like I need to get a facial. Skincare products make me happy!

I am a fan of Elemis skincare products. Right now I have Elemis peptide eye cream, peel, superfood day cream, superfood facial wash, and peptide night recovery cream. Also featured in this picture is Image Max stem cell facial wash and stem cell neck cream. These are top-of-the-line skin care lines – you can’t go wrong with anything from Elemis or Image!
This is my current eye cream collection. The top one is from Trader Joes and it only costs $5.99. It’s decent if you don’t have crow’s feet, yet. This Burt’s Bees product won’t do much. The Elemis product will obliterate crow’s feet!
Mom gave me Hope in a Jar, and it’s a pretty good exfoliator.
My favorite exfoliator is the Peter Thomas Roth Firmx Peeling Gel. I recently ran out, but I haven’t replenished my supply because I want to use up some of the other products under my sink and in my medicine cabinet before I buy more of this.
This was a free gift from Sephora, and it’s great – my skin feels so refreshed after I use it!
This is the most important item for any skin care routine. If you buy nothing else, get this. It’s a $10 sunscreen that lasts for months, and it will save your face from sun damage.
Some folks love toners; some don’t. The Clinique clarifying lotion is a vital part of the 3-step skin care line. This Elemis toner kicks butt!
The Derma-E line is a low-cost, highly-effective skin care line. If you don’t want to spend a ton of money, then this is a good option. Warning: cats HATE the smell of this product. It has a citrusy scent, and my cats run away from me after I use it.
Finally, I’m told that Retinol is essential to any skin care routine. However, this bottle is like five years old. It must not be THAT essential! I know, you’re supposed to purge skincare products after like a year, but this cost me like $85. I feel obligated to use it. Maybe tonight.
